I don't think this is about bathsheba, there's a whole different named psalm for that. This is likely another woman when he was older and he caught something

Psalm 38: so wait, david got a serious sti for a while? Most people interpret this as symbolism but arent these descriptions a bit too physically precise to be metaphor?

When floods destroy entire communities, where is God?

Psalm 29:10 - "The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever."

When catastrophic floods and natural disasters devastate communities, it is natural to ask where God is in the midst of.

bypass traditional command structures and report directly to him, and justified it by quoting Psalm 33:12, he wasn't offering a prayer for the troops. He was declaring a theocratic takeover of the Pentagon.

Let’s be entirely clear about what we are witnessing.

Happy are they who have not walked in the counsel of the wicked,
nor lingered in the way of sinners,
not sat in the seats of the scornful.

Psalm 1. Day 1

There is definitely an empty seat over there among the scornful! 🕯😊

Psalm 33:16-17 btw:

16 No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.

17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
Hegseth: "Today, at my direction, I'm establishing the Office of Religious Affairs. It will report straight to the top -- a direct line to the secretary ... as Psalm 33:12 extolls us, blessed is the nation in which God is the Lord"

Badges cannot protect the soul. Law enforcement officers face horrors most people never witness.

Psalm 94:19 - "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul."

Law enforcement officers are called to stand between peace and chaos every single day.

In Ps. 113:1 today: 'Praise, O servants of the Lord.' Interesting that we are called to praise at the beginning of the psalm, before a prayer is answered or blessing seen. We can praise God's faithfulness before our help comes. Be early to praise. Praise is my work today.

What a joke, he quoted Pulp Fiction as it were a Bible verse and now the movie Fury when using "Send me".
I'll bet anyone that one day he'll use the quote in Saving Private Ryan Psalm 144:1–2. which is all about war, battles God and fortresses.
Absolute joke of a man, cringe.
