But I do hope if the Sony handheld rumours are true that Sony uses the exact same chipset to power a wireless PSVR3. That way if people aren’t buying the VR, it’s not a total failure, cause they can use those boards interchangeably between VR and handheld

Did PSVR 2 at least make the top 5 for units or dollars in December? It’s a shame that there likely won’t be a PSVR3. I love VR, the issue is, it’s impossible to show someone what it feels like in the headset, you need experience it. Watching a video of a VR game on TV doesn’t even come close

Moore’s Law is Dead heard a rumour mixed with some intelligent speculation that the chip being developed for the handheld could also power a PSVR3, that way they develop in a larger quantity which reduces costs and if PSVR3 bombs they didn’t waste much on R&D

Any information on how well or not well haha PSVR2 sold? It was sold out in most places, but I guess that is indicative of how many units they had to sell in the first place haha. I really want VR to do well cause the tech is so exciting but I fear there won’t be a PSVR3

I think the reports of underwhelming psvr2 sales have greatly been exaggerated :)
But either way the psvr2 got a lot of steam recently because of the sales and the PC compatibility so I remain hopeful for a psvr3.

Thid is very good! Next thing they should add is some mixed reality support, even with its black and white passthrough, it would be very beneficial to add MR to the psvr2 and would ensure there would a back catalogue of MR games for the psvr3 at launch (assuming it will be designed with MR in mind)
