#puddletag
I am so glad to have found my #ipod with all those #audiobooks. And I am so glad I could plug it in, mount said ipod in #dolphin on #kubuntu, and drag the audiobook files to my #pc. I'm also glad #puddletag (https://docs.puddletag.net) was there to rename those hundreds of audiobook files whose […]

this was super easy btw, install k3b to rip the discs (which actually picks up most of the tagging anyway) and then puddletag for fine tuning and to add the album art, both are gui applications perfect for non-programmers
anyone know if there's an mp3tag equivalent for linux?

for playback, mostly Strawberry.

i tried using beets to organize my library (many old CDs, iTunes downloads, limewire downloads lol), but there were way too many nontrivial discrepancies, like tracklists, and it kept losing album art. i just use puddletag for manual adjustments as needed now

1) audacity (vérif qualité flacs)
2) Picard (<=> tags)
3) puddletag (fix comment, rating ...)
4) minidlna (servir dlna/upnp)
5) vlc (jouer en local, réseau ex : => box, => chaîne)
6) rclone (mirror => cloud / + restic pour backups)

👉 Faiblesse niveau DAC. Moi pas avoir de DAC externe, Cher 😞

We've known...all along..."I'm Tag Editing as we speak"

Sure enough Puddletag software is saving me "a Ton of Time!" I just located a dozen CDs that will need replacing, due to Low Bit Rates.

There's nothing more satisfying then cleaning house.

I hadn't even heard of Puddletag but it looks very much like it'll do what I want. Phwoar, it can create playlists too, that'll be great for the shop music player project. Thanks!
