Yep American infrastructure means that cyclists need a much higher risk tolerance than the general population, which tends to select for 18-34 year old men, a population with a high dickishness rate. As always, the best dick-reduction strategy is better infrastructure.

I also think that some of the aggressiveness from a certain segment of cyclists is in reaction to how incredibly unfriendly and unsafe streets are to them. The more you improve bike infrastructure and protections, I think the more chill that segment of cyclists will be

I think it can depend on thr method. Like Stel had peritoneal pullthrough and my doc said that had significantly quicker recpvery than penile inversion. At least you're on your feet quicker.

some doctors use the tunica vaginalis rather than a peritoneal pullthrough. iiuc the latter has been around longer in the US and is better understood, but the former maybe has a lower risk of complications
