There's been an effort to split the breed of several of the brachycephalic dogs to make a new "purebreed" with actual noses. The Olde English Bulldogge is one such attempt.

(cont) service dogs. they're incredibly smart, loyal, and trainable. but most importantly I did have to choose a dog that I could find reliably accurate references for, which means purebreed for the most part haha. I gave her longer hair and a less-sloped back and an easier disposition though

Options basically are are "spend $500 to get a rescue puppy that hasn't been traumatized yet" or "be screened as if for a foster child for an older dog that has been fostered" or "spend $100 and get a rescued humane society pit mix who probably is traumatized" or "buy a purebreed and be demonized."
