I miss my lush spring garden with bearded irises, Oriental poppies etc and the green grass! There is not much in the garden now except some day lilies n a cluster of crocosmias.

My spring garden with a row of orange Oriental poppies, purple n yellow bearded irises planted alternately. 2nd row I planted daylilies, croscosmias n fahlias. In front of them I planted alyssums , honeysuckle and sedum . At the curve of the lawn self seeded yellow California poppies n red orange Oriental poppies thrived

The irises are my poor lady's tulips and I left most be for 4 yrs abt 2+ ft wide clusters. Bearded irises n Orange red Oriental poppies are the 2 best plants in my garden. Here's part of my sidewalk garden.
