#PWC2024 was my best ever year @patchbirding.bsky.social
at Wheldrake Ings with a total of 159 species & 206 points. The only new species was @ldvbirder.bsky.social Great Reed Warbler find. Thanks to all the local birders & the @ldvnnr.bsky.social staff & volunteers

#PWC2024 was my best ever year @patchbirding.bsky.social

July's additions to #PWC2024 were Roseate Tern and Bearded Tit 🙂 Also lovely to see large fishing flocks in the Solent, Goosander still, Little Gull & Juv Yellow-legged Gull. #HantsBirds #LowCarbonBirding #ukbirding
Tern time 😍 one of my favourite aspects of local autumn birding is counting and going through the roosting terns at Hill Head. Today Roseate Tern & Little Gull were among 95 Common Terns! Also Common Gull etc. #LowCarbonBirding #HantsBirds #ukbirding

Another walk along the shared path thinking "I'm sure I can hear a Yellowhammer..." and sure enough, barely audible above rush hour traffic, there it was! 😄 Newlands Farm does look rather good for them but it's a long time since Yellowhammers were regular here. #ukbirding #LowCarbonBirding
