One thing I will say about the Quake Champions changeover: I got a refund. Just before Quakecon I had been chasing the battle pass to get the Ranger Brawler skin which had been previously only available in a specific bundle. I came close, but I knew I wasn't going to make it.

it was fun when it had a playerbase briefly after that one quakecon, and then it went back to people who have only played Quake 3 Arena for the past 27 years and that was definitely an experience

Fallout: New Vegas. I don't remember why I started, I was never a "gamer" before I was 19. But I played FNV for about 36 hours straight almost? Like I was so locked in I wouldn't go pee until it hurt. I bought it as part of a quakecon pack i think maybe the 2nd steam ever did?

found a practicality new white lian li case. while bringing it up to my room, realized how much stuff i got and i dont have room for another PC so i gave it to a friend to make room :3
only thing i scored from a pile was a 2004 quakecon shirt that was in another friends box of stuff he dropped off

I admit posting this was not easy for me. But it took me a few days of trauma processing and finally actually showing emotions other than rigid stubbornness.
I fucking cried about a bunch of things. Including how much I didnt' wanna go home from Quakecon... alot of my friends were there ;_;

I hear some people speculating about a potential Doom 1/2 remake after Hugo's comments at this year's Quakecon. I can totally see it happening even if I don't want it. If you ask me, they should leave the classic games alone and focus on the modern series or a different IP
