OpenSSH 10.0 (a regular bump from 9.9) is out, and it makes the post-quantum ML-KEM hybrid mlkem768x25519-sha256 the default. https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-10.0

The next release of x/crypto/ssh will support it, too, when used with Go 1.24, making SSH sessions quantum resistant! ⛓️ https://go.d

Is ED25519 post-quantum resistant? 😬

The quantum breakthrough is interesting, but doesn’t seem like a threat to crypto. Quantum resistant cryptography already exists, we just have to adopt those algorithms.

Tezos has an experimental network running right now to test what a post-quantum stack could look like.

Quantumnet is testing new account signatures, consensus signatures and a quantum-resistant DAL together.

Much more concrete than “we’re thinking about quantum resistance.”

this morning while researching about symmetric encryption over breakfast i learned that the united states' NIST plan deprecate pretty much all commonly used cryptographic algorithms by 2035 to encourage switching to quantum-resistant ones
if you need context to whatever im yapping about follow the quotes, anyway! ever growing storage requirements has plagued decentralized networks since inception, in my conceptual network i mentioned that users have a server that they publish to, and others can fetch data from it
no censorship is tough legally speaking, some countries will punish you for viewing illegal content even though you werent looking nor asking for it (ie you operate a relay node and someone in the network broadcasted CSAM, you will be treated an accomplice even if innocent)
