Reintroducing myself as Pup Qubit 🐾 Scritches welcome (and actively encouraged)
Researchers have created a mechanical qubit by imprinting a superconducting qubit onto a sapphire crystal and coupling it to an acoustic resonator made from another sapphire crystal.
Enter the Mechanical Qubit
The demonstration of the first fully functioning mechanical qubit offers a new platform for quantum information processing and could lead to ultraprecise gravity sensors.
