I think my biggest hope is quelthalas feels like a recovery and not just time travel to pre-scourge days. Give me somethin, some lingering scars

Before Midnight comes out, don't get it twisted. Anasterian was an idiot and his isolationist policies is what enabled the scourge to steamroll quelthalas and fragment his people. Fundamentally that guy should be remembered as the apex of elven hubris
Remember this in future.

Imagine if Forever manages to do the Blood elves and High elves and Quelthalas better than Midnight just did (which isn’t hard)
Retail and its writers (which apparently have cross over with Forever, one of the senior retail writers moved to Forever) will never live it down

Like clockwork haha. Retail interview a whole bunch of evasive non-answers followed by the Forever devs just going, "yeah man, you'll see Gilneas and we have BIG plans for Quel'Thalas' story and you'll get to see HIGH ELVES AND BLOOD ELVES :D lets just have our cake AND eat it hell yeah!"

Hey blizz
This is an example of how you write Quelthalas and Amani relations and reparations
Not instant fix. Political and societal issues
But progress with room for future plot
Not “and the elves and trolls agreed everyone was bad but they’d be better now forever”

One thing I really appreciate about the 11.1.7 story is that we don't really *solve* the ongoing problems.
We prevent the conflict from escalating, but the issues with famine and bandits and general strife between the factions in the Arathi Highlands isn't *fixed*.

I actually wouldn’t be bothered by the “uniting the elves of quelthalas” story if it hadn’t been built upon the sand like foundations of midnight reducing three distinct elven groups into neutral slop of generic fantasy elves
ESPECIALLY Sindorei. At least void elves were fleshed out in Voidstorm

The new Void Incursion in Eversong for 12.0.5 features all the Thalassian leaders at the gates of Silvermoon fighting together.
So it does seem like the Void Elves and High Elves will properly unite with the Blood Elves by the end of Quel'Danas, not just a temporary alliance.
