I am already using Tailscale for remote access, have disabled QuickConnect and have no port forwarding.
IIRC, there can be up 3 users for free with Tailscale.

Personally I use @tailscale.com to access from off-site. The Tailscale plugin for Synology works well so it's fairly easy to set up. Synology offers "QuickConnect" as their own solution. Have a look here for a discussion: www.reddit.com/r/synology/c...

turns out that apparently my apartment had a short power outage today and my NAS/PDS handled it perfectly yay
i've configured it to shut down ASAP when the UPS loses power (since i have a LiFePo battery in it and it has 0 idea how to correctly estimate runtime on those) and it did just that!

Technically, you don't even need to port forward with your Synology, if you're willing to log into it every time (for photos, files, etc - but not Plex). Look into QuickConnect.

Yo fotos hago pocas últimamente, pero ya las tengo en el Synology. Y está guay poder acceder al disco duro desde el exterior (con lo del quickconnect).
