I worked in Radcon on USS Dixon. Calibrated Radiacs….was supposed to go to Nuc School. Witnessed the zombies leaving at 11pm after the club closed at NTC Orlando….nah. I switched to AEF. Straight to the yards…🤣🤣

... and the reason why I drove 7 hours in a snow storm was so I could set up for the art show at RadCon. Turns out I DID have enough for 2 panels. I think I have a good layout and is pretty different from the usual offerings of Sci-fi/fantasy/gaming related artwork.

We live in the middle of the triangle of Baltimore, DC, and Annapolis, less than 6 miles from Fort Meade.
Let's just say that although I am well-versed in radcon and related protocols, we don't exactly stock the things one might help keep the thyroid working 6 months after the nuke exchange.

I mean, we'll all be glowing, and not too gently, when we go.
But if we weren't quite as likely to be vaporized, why would KI not be useful for the thyroid?
I've got some vaguely-remembered RadCon training etc. and...feel as though I'm missing something important and/or have forgotten something?

I thought about having Blinky the three-eyed fish as my avatar (we used to routinely draw that at the top of the blackboard in NPS before a short instructor came in to teach water chemistry/RadCon)...but ended up with a Jedi capybara during the DALLE days.

gawd i hate this but the entire radcon movement in lockstep blaming the fires on elected democrats .... is probably going to work. it's disgusting. this texan has said for a while that CA will go red before TX goes blue, and this probably speeds that up. we are in dark times, and getting worse.

I picked up the Rook Exodus Volume 1 Deluxe Edition this past November, just based on the art and setting blurb. Loved it.
I just ran an RPG adventure at RadCon 9B (happening this weekend) using the Supers! Revised rules. I had four players who hadn't read the comics, but liked the setting.
