raggedy was forever banished to the attic. the trap door to the attic was right over my daughters' bed. a few years later i woke up to her screaming. i ran into her room to see the door had fallen open and raggedys' leg was dangling from the opening, swinging back and forth over the bed.

I've always thought of Raggedy Ann and Andy as being of the same race as scarecrows.
Though copyright in the Raggedys expired decades ago, Hasbro still owns the trademark. I guess that's why Madame Alexander had to call their dolls Mop Top Wendy and Mop Top Billy.
