I'm kinda like if SHODAN and the Allied Mastercomputer and Bayonetta and Ragyo Kiryuin all had a collective baby

this is accurate b/c Gendo actually got cleanly dethroned as 'worst parent of all time' by Ragyo, there's always even worse possible

Predatory characters like Homelander, Joker, Hisoka, Sabretooth, Akio, Anissa, Thragg, Ragyo, Dio, Slade, Makima and even Vox-who made Alastor watch him and Valentino do it exist, but yet no one says anything about them but still buy merch and cosplay as them but Valentino is a problem.😒

Nah, personally I see him as mediocre even in his evil. Castlevania's Dracula has the same motivation and far more of a reaction. And in terms of scope, Ragyo Kiryuuin beats him handily. Gendo is just conflating stoicism as intimidation, imo.

the appeal of the matchup for some appears to be getting to see Ragyō die without having to commit the unthinkable act of watching Kill La Kill

the way people talk about Ragyō vs. Lusamine is really starting to sour me on the concept
like, the theme is that they’re shitty moms, except one of them is so much shittier than the other that it is morally imperative that she loses. this is because the worse one is not from a kids’ game

As someone who watched Kill la Kill, Ragyō's death personally lacked catharsis. Ragyō losing a Death Battle would most likely be a different vibe from her death in canon.
Also, it's not just that Lusamine's from a kid's game, she's also written to be a bit of a tragic villain.
