Musical Raingutters in Dresden, Germany

No, just sheets, towels & a quilt to sop up the wet if water comes inside again. Outside, I've got a new french drain, new raingutters & downspouts, allegedly re-sealed slab & repaired stem wall. Plus, the drains were jetted to the street.🤞😹💚

Fun fact:

Gargoyles are called that because they were attached to raingutters.

They were named for the gargling sound they made when water passed through their mouths.

beyond extra money for repair labor & materials, the vast majority of "homeowners" don't have the skill/knowledge wherewithal to keep their houses up. so they do damn fool things like letting a sketchy cousin remove their raingutters for a scrap haul bc they can't be bothered managing a downspout 😒

The guys are coming to replace the raingutters this morning, & I'll let one of the young studs show me how strong he is. Never fear, Auntie Sea has a plan.😹💚

In my experience, it’s better to befriend the crows in one’s own neighborhood, and who stash snacks in ones raingutters, covering them with leaves and coming back for them later. There’s a pair that have been doing that right outside the windows of my home office.

I swear he was here in my backyard two months ago. He was the one catching frogs & pretending to be all cool about it. Like nothing was happening. I know it was him because it got all quiet afterwards & I didn't have to clean any more frogs out of my raingutters. I kinda miss the little peepers.

We also get weird things like the houses themselves being the fuel source. The house burns but the plants around it don't. The embers get into roof vents, or raingutters, or blow under roof tiles. So the fire jumps from house to house, sometimes skipping the vegetation between.
