Pólya’s theorem reveals how random walks behave -- in 1D and 2D a walker almost surely returns home infinitely often but in 3D and higher there’s a chance they wander off forever.

And implementing this experimental new feature nearly broke me, because of the sheer colossal scale of the Node Tree that I'm working with. 🫠 I certainly admire the mental fortitude of @jas9r.bsky.social to keep their own tool as just a single Node Group & endure all the Reroutes that entails. 🟢-→-🟢

After around 12 days, I've finally implemented in #Blender #GeometryNodes all the functionality of Python BMesh random_walk utility function at the core of @blenderguppy.bsky.social's Random Flow Extension. I need multiple screenshots to show how huge the Node Tree got. 🫠 #blender3d #b3d #geonodes
