Potential improvements:
New bus lanes the entire length of the route are badly needed, and would allow for a new Canada Way RapidBus. Frequencies on the existing 123 should also be increased.

I rode the route in the late morning and it was standing room only. My bus was also really struggling getting up the mountain.
Potential improvements:
Build the Burnaby Mountain Gondola.

An express service or RapidBus from Guildford at least as far south as Panorama Village would be a good medium-term goal, with frequencies increased significantly on the 375 especially when the Langley SkyTrain extension makes the 345 redundant.

I rode the route on a Saturday, and the bus was standing room only between Bridgeport and Metrotown. We spent a lot of time stuck in traffic through Richmond and over the Knight St Bridge.

Potential improvements:
Implement the Richmond-Metrotown RapidBus as soon as possible, and build extensive transit priority improvements alongside it.

The route could be realigned to decrease the amount of turns on its southern half. Queue-jump lanes would speed up busses along segments of the route like Douglas Rd.
Canada Way desperately needs bus lanes, especially for a future RapidBus service from New West to Brentwood.

Potential improvements:
Extend the bus lanes to cover the remaining segments of the route, and later into the evening. Increase frequency to provide relief to the overcrowded R4 RapidBus. If demand justifies it, re-extend the route to UBC with the rollout of the new trolleybusses

The route features some transit priority, namely daytime (7 to 7) bus lanes on a lot of 41st put in place for the R4 RapidBus, they don't cover the slowest section of the route through Kerrisdale. My ride had many offs and ons mostly making short- and mid-length journeys, getting crowded toward +
