Surprisingly, aside from being very dense, they tasted okay. Nothing a large amount of butter couldn't cure. I found him the RapidRise yeast and I think he's going to try it again tomorrow. (2)

i'm making challah today but i don't know what my rising times should be. The recipe uses RapidRise yeast and I have instant and I think it could take up to half again as long? but i'm not sure.

recipe says first rise of 90 min but mine was definitely not risen enough at that point.

Beth (she/her) 5:24 PM 4 cups all-purpose flour 2 envelopes (4 1/2 teaspoons) RapidRise Yeast 4 Tablespoons sugar 1 cup milk 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon salt 4 Tablespoons butter pepperoni cheese - use your favorite (I used string cheese) melted butter In a mixing bowl fitted with a dough hook, stir together about half the flour with the undiluted yeast and sugar. In a small saucepan, or a microwave safe bowl, heat together the milk, water, salt, and butter to a temperature between 110° and 115° Add the warmed liquid mixture to the flour mixture. Allow the dough hook to run for two minutes, occasionally scraping down the sides of the bowl. Then, begin adding approximately 1/2 cup of additional flour at a time, allowing the mixer to run two minutes atter each addition, until you have added enough flour to form a soft dough. Once you have a soft dough forming, allow the dough hook to run for approximately five minutes to knead the dough. The dough should pull away from the sides of the bowl and pick up all the loose flour and bits on the bottom of the bowl. Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes. To Form the Rolls: Divide the dough into approximate 3 ounce dough balls. (You should get 12 balls) Roll out each ball of dough into a large thin rectangle. Place 3 to 6 slices of pepperoni on one end of the dough and top with a cheese stick. Roll up the pepperoni and mozzarella inside the pepperoni roll, making sure to tuck in the sides as you roll. Place seam-side down on a parchment paper covered baking sheet, cover with a clean tea towel, and allow to rise for 30 minutes in a warm spot. Preheat your oven to 375° . Lightly brush each pepperoni roll with melted butter. Bake the pepperoni rolls for 20 to 25 minutes or until done and the tops are lightly browned. Serve warm or at room temperature. If desired, serve with pizza sauce for dipping. Pepperoni rolls should be stored at room temperature. It desired I, each roll may be wrapped individually in plastic wrap and frozen to be reheated later. Yields 12 pepperoni rolls

I would argue the peak of mechanical camera was 1954-1979 or so. Roughly between the Leica M3—perhaps the best made mechanical camera ever—and the final revision to the Olympus OM-1. The Nikon F and the Pentax are both in that range. The AE-1 in 1976 began the sea change to electronics.
Yes, who DID ask for controls on everything to be touch-sensitive? Nobody in my cohort, and I'm not implying that it's a decent cohort to be in, I'm just saying it wasn't one of us. And progress often does go on longer than it's needed, and when it does, it kind of stops being progress, right? The height of derailers in the modern (post-WWII) era was the late 1980s to early 1990s, and then again when the insufficiently exhaulted Shimano RapidRise derailers came out in about 1999 to 2003/4. The best year for moderately priced ten-speeds was 1984. There were major improvements from 1980 to 1984, and then with the Yen Shock of 1985 all went to hell for a few years (there were exceptions, but anybody who was deeply involved with bicycle in the mid 1980s knows this to be a fact). Probably the best years for mechanical film cameras were 1972 to 1985.
