I mean many asteroids have like, more rare earth metals in them than the world consumes in decades right now.

This doesn't make sense right now, probably not even in our lifetimes but it's definitely reasonable that eventually those start looking tasty enough to want to harvest from

It actually really doesn't

He's probably had the most visible success in the the realm of space exploration by a private non-government entity

Everyone talks rare earths. The quiet gap is high-purity iron, about 70% of a magnet. Hertha Metals just broke ground on a $100M Texas plant to make it. https://thisnewsroom.com/hertha-metals-rare-earth-magnet-iron-plant-texas/

Even if everything goes as planned, we won’t see any Soviet diesel in the US for weeks …after the election.

The real question is; what does Trump and his spawn get out of the deal? Rare earth metals, oil, land, what?

Trump would not do this without personal benefit.

That Putin and his Agent trump had been planning for years to strip Ukraine of its natural resources and rare earth metals. Start: 2014 www.politico.com/story/2016/0...
What an afront to the Ukrainian people, who are fighting Russia to a standstill while a shameful percentage of the U.S. population pisses on the Constitution every day.

The word limit's annoying, anyways, that single good economy can help consolidate power under one usually corrupt entity. Commodities like oil, rare earth metals, gems and minerals, and, of course, bananas. And as soon as supply overwhelms demand for that commodity, the economy collapses.

Of all the shit swirling around, my favorite dynamic is the "rare earth" saga.

China controls the bulk of the world's supply.

The US Military Industrial Complex needs such inputs to keep up its bullying, intimation and the global genocide campaigns.
