#rashamon
I got in a fight with a professor one time over wether or not the medium in Rashamon was “what really happened” or “what the culture would have wanted to happen.”

My grandmother’s Quizzer (1). Here she is wearing it (2) I used it to represent her in my painting of 2014 THE RASHAMON EFFECT (section in 3) #familyportraits #oilpaintings #visitely

Every narrator has bias.

Unreliable narrators have an agenda.

Got a message telling me my Rashamon DVD was ready to pick up but its not there and the staff are coming out with some excuses that just don't add up.

I didn't like Weapons or Barbarian. Both were two different films meshed together. I think I was audibly frustrated during segment 56 of the Rashamon rip in the former!

One of the more interesting quirks of Sonic Adventure is how cut scenes play out a bit differently depending on which character you are, like this is Rashamon or something. When playing as Tails, a notable difference is how the VA for Robotnik reads a lot of his lines more menacingly.

Still need to see Rashamon! life of Brian is a really impressive film though, somewhere in between a Jesus Christ superstar parody and a deconstruction of Abrahamic theology.

Ibaraki fled and ended up at the Rashamon gate. There, they took another stand, losing their arm to Watanabe no Tsuna. Disguised as his aunt, Ibaraki retrieved their arm and fled once more.

It was after this that Ibaraki met 1412's Apocalypse, becoming his general of Famine due to their powers

I watched Jurassic Park yesterday. I'm going to watch Event Horizon tonight. Later this week I have tickets to see Rashamon, the new Spiderman, and I Saw the TV Glow. I'm going to be exploring a lot of quadrants, and that brings me joy.

I found it. It was The Outrage and the Japanese original was Rashamon

Oh, make no mistake. I did enjoy it and think it's narratively the strongest of the Sequels. And the Rashamon style reveal of what was going on with Luke was a great hook. Just has a few flaws I think hold it back.

As a human, I don't trust anybody. Penis, vagina, whatever. Probably dishonest even when trying not to be.

See also: Rashamon

There is no doubt a gross patriarchy. Men are also victims of it, and the toxic expectations spewed upon them.

I'd need to know more before piling on the guy.

Too many to have a favorite so I'm going to intentionally miss the point.

Raging Bull
Bob Le Flaneur
Rashamon
M
Double indemnity
Night of the Hunter
The Thin Man
Duck Soup
Throne of Blood
Casablanca
The Big Sleep
Divorce Italian Style
Maybe Psycho

Good stop sometime...

My taste has certainly expanded but I would still throw out Rashamon as my favorite B/W film if you asked me a hundred times on a hundred different days.

Rashamon is up there for Simpsons throwaway lines.

It's hard to pick just one, but I'll go with my usual answer for these kinds of things

Marge: Come on Homer, Japan will be fun! You liked Rashamon.
Homer: Hmph. That's not how I remember it.
Name your fav joke from The Simpsons.
