I slapped a Raynox DCR-250 macro extension lens on the 105 macro, which made it super macro! I used a tabletop tripod and a 2-second shutter delay to keep it steady. Man, I love the results! So dreamy and magical! #flowers #macro #macrophotography #raynox #nikon #photography #fineartphotography

Heute Morgen waren die Bedingungen zum Fotografieren einfach zu gut zum Ausschlafen, deshalb habe ich noch einmal die Bläulinge besucht.

Um einen größeren Abbildungsmaßstab zu erzielen, habe ich zusätzlich eine Raynox-Vorsatzlinse eingesetzt.

Die Fotos unbedingt in groß anschauen!

I love that lens. (Prefer it over my EF-180 F3.5, even if it has a longer working distance)….. and for trickier stuff I have my MPE-65 lens, but I don’t normally use it until all my other options run out…. But now you have gotten me intersted in the Raynox DCR-250… damn, here I go again…

It consists of a camera body, three extension tubes, a 100 mm macro lens and a Raynox 250 lens. Instead of using a cumbersome tripod, I use the ring of my stereomicroscope as a support and the focusing knob to take 8–12 photos at different focus levels.

I special ordered the Raynox from Henry's middle of June, it's still not here. So when I saw it on marketplace last night I didn't waste any time acquiring it. The buglights were a happy bonus.

When it gets here I'm trading it for a Raynox DCR-150. 😏🤙🍁

I'm impressed with how a Raynox DCR-250 clipped on to a Nikon 24-120mm let's me see the tiny detail in the world around us.

This hover fly was kind enough to stay still to let me see those huge compound eyes!

Those MagMod kits look interesting.

I'm presently experimenting with a few LED lights inside a Guage diffuser, while I wait for my Raynox to ship.

I still intend to build my own version eventually.
