I wish Rockstar would just focus on making really cool open-world story games like RDR2 and RDR1 instead of doing the shit they’ve been doing.

I feel like RDR1 is more guilty of their overly linear mission design philosophy from what I played of that game because compared to GTAV I feel like RDR2's missions have been a bit more freeing with how you can go about doing them. Nothing groundbreaking but does it need to be?

I dunno if I can point to any Rockstar character that has depth outside of RDR2’s bunch. I thought RDR1 was on the 3-series level of cartoony. So much I didn’t finish it.
I will be curious to see if 6 is more like GTA5 or RDR2

My strongest opinion about RDR2 is still that it's cool we can access the RDR1 map, but it's weird the game contains all of the geometry of RDR1 Mexico without access. It's the kinda thing you'd expect an expansion for that never came.

it's kind of nice that Red Dead Redemption 2 gives more of a shit about its morality system than RDR1 did, and actually leads to different story outcomes and stuff, but I don't think that the big open world shootery bang game is really the best fit for a morality system in the first place

On RPCS3 it's one of the heaviest CPU loads you can put a PC though, up there with Unleashed, GoWIII & Ascension, RDR1, the Uncharteds & TLoU1, and GT6. The most demanding of them all according to the team is the Twisted Metal reboot though

Undead Nightmare is RDR1's canon ending to me. You can fight me on this idc. Theres fucking sasquatch and aliens and a frankenstein monster in the GTA/RDR universe, zombie John is not that far-fetched imo.
