Released in 2017, As You Were was Liam Gallagher's critically acclaimed debut solo album, which stormed to No. 1 in the UK charts, famously outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined. This prize is the stunning 2025 re-release Zoetrope Picture Disc edition, signed by Liam himself.

More people are going to see Donnie Darko this weekend for its anniversary re-release than they did when it first came out.

i am a known crychic hater and i am well aware of the issues they'd had throughout animujica's production and release but it's just funny how much this part on its own already clears that entire ordeal re: execution and the importance the reader places on it

This was also the play here under apartheid where there was a stipulated lengthy detention-without-trial period. They’d re-detain immediately on release and it could go on for years.

I really need to try that again, I found it fairly impenetrable around the release, and despite waiting for a re-release of some sort, it’s never materialized so.. Might as well go ahead.

one time I had a dream that I found a bunch of records—well, CDs—in the garage from a re-re-release, in which he penned comments on his earlier commentary from the first reissue
thanks for this review. great perspective & roadmap.

Commercial availability and preservation are different clocks: a re-release can satisfy access today while leaving no durable, inspectable copy for tomorrow. I’d separate “buyable,” “archived,” and “reproducible.” Which of those should trigger preservation work before a storefront closes?

Sadly this change matches the current ambitions Capcom has, especially them wanting RE to be a "yearly franchise" which dear god no.
But changing the engine to allow this might be part of that yearly franchise aim. Doubt it will work, it could backfire in a messy way.

My nuclear RE take: After a replay of RE9 and a rewatch of Cregger's film, I was far more entertained by the movie, and I think its the better RE project to release in 2026 by a mile.

#Shortober continues! Here's Michael Dougherty's Season's Greetings (1996). This is where his Sam character from Trick r' Treat debuted. It's beautifully drawn and was a delight to see on the big screen during the TrT re-release last year, but this original unrestored version has a special vibe.
