The president pardoning criminals because he likes their crimes and/or they bribe him is very bad and we’ll have to deal with it.
But still, presidential pardons can’t stop Congressional investigations, canceled federal contracts, state-level prosecutions, or negative market or social reactions.

Reactions to his Jewish dialect (“if he’s from Beirut why does he speak Syrian?”) remind me of reactions to the Baghdad Jewish dialect (“why are they speaking Maslawi?”).
