When you’re hating on immigrants in the UK, you’re also hating on UK immigrants in other countries.
Practically, these things work on the basis of reciprocity.
Morally, they do too.

And calms your nervous system, without having to be an indentured servant to them in order to get that reciprocity. So if you want to submit in a relationship, more power to you. I would much rather relax in one.

Haley Stevens says that she respects those Democrats who chose to support AES, and we should respect her choice in turn.
Counteroffer: Stevens *doesn't* respect our choice to support AES, and we *don't* respect her choice in turn.
I agree that parity and reciprocity is important.

It’s always bothered me that more men don’t do brunch together.
Cooking and eating together creates reciprocity. Reciprocity is foundational for relationships.
Also it’s called coo-KING not coo-Queen…

The economic benefits of public investment. (That one he could have gotten, just was downplayed by the economic orthodoxy of the time.) The near-term public health benefits of phasing out fossil fuels. International relations and reciprocity.

Mother Earth works on abundance and reciprocity.
Capitalism is trying to kill the earth, but she will flourish again after capitalism and imperialism fall.

Same pattern as every Minsk pause: the guns go quiet on one side, the other side loads trucks. Oleshky just makes it visible, evacuation cover while armor moves in. A ceasefire without verified reciprocity is a resupply window.

There's no real urge for reciprocity either considering Britain's lack of presidential elections and, let's say, bespoke attitudes to referenda.

If there's a there there, its whether the DSCC as an institution is gonna do some soul searching as a result of this (kinda predictable) heel turn. We rightfully expect the Dipshit Left to learn from the Platner Affair. There should be reciprocity.

If I could wave a magic wand and start society all over again, the blueprint would come from Braiding Sweetgrass and society would be built on the Gift Economy and the principles of Reciprocity. Both to our fellow humans and all our brothers and sisters in the natural world.

Maybe the real problem isn't that people with BPD manipulate others, but that others are not willing to engage in reciprocity with the borderline person and cast the expectation of reciprocity as manipulative. Thus, reversing in perception the asymmetry in the relationship.

It's unimaginable for a popstar to individually love each fan back, but it doesn't turn the fans love into "embarrassment".
Also people love feeling represented and the politician embodies that feeling.
Would be "antipolitic" make people feel bad about it.
