Fucking 1tb ssd that is unusable without formatting now, ive tried recuva but it doesnt help so now im trying disk drill but it says itll take 81hs to finish.
God im tired.

And if Recuva doesn't work, try Photorec. It's more difficult to use but it's worked magic for me in the past when recovering reformatted / "dead" drives.

There is also another tool called Recuva that has a free version that is pretty powerful. But, it used to be way better before they started pushing a pay version. If you know of other good free data recovery programs (perhaps one that reads raw disks) please let me know! 👍 www.ccleaner.com/recuva

accidentally hit the format button on the wrong drive. now i’m trying to recover the files with recuva. estimated time left 15 hours and it’s just HOPEFUL that this works. lmao

I returned from a holiday and accidentally deleted about 2000 photos. I was distraught, but managed to recover the lot after downloading Recuva. So this is good advice.

Idk if you’ve ever tried the program Recuva. I used it a years ago and saved 100gb of game dev files, art, and more. You also don’t need to install Linux.

You probably already looked into it, but just in case, I was able to recover quite a few files using recovery software (Recuva) from one of my drives that got fully re-formatted. If you haven't already, it may be worth a look.
