Joys of fieldwork bycatch. The first redbelly has ensured the frog bonked their last pobble. The 2nd redbelly is keenly watching tonight's sunset.

A young Northern Redbelly Snake for the #AlphabetChallenge #WeekUforUnloved. I don't have a problem with snakes but quite a few people do. I moved this snake off the road after photographing it despite the belligerent reptile trying to bite me.

Put out peanuts and called for the birds and within a minute came the jays, girl downy woodpecker and boy redbelly woodpecker. Redbelly gave a honk the second time he came because I was looking away and he didn’t get his compliment.
