I'm looking at house maintenance tasks and looking at CHEAPEST option to fix it. Do we need a $50k kitchen remodel we got into further debt for... Or can we reorganize existing space and refinish the countertops for $1300 and get a microwave not held together with tape?? One of these is sane option

When we took this door down to refinish it, I thought these hinges were just flat they were covered in so much paint.

Yep, most people refinish their floors then paint the walls and work up to the ceiling.

Yeah, I can either spend $45 on a belt sander just to refinish this and stain it…or I can just paint it navy blue.
One doesn’t cost me extra money. Guess what I’m thinking.
