TG42 has seen four Black Storks.
First was Eccles Apr 2011, then Waxham May 2011, Hickling Priory & the current bird.
Here’s the 2011 Eccles bird & the 2026 bird (pic @winterdune).
The current bird may perhaps be of dubious origin (?) but still great to see.
But, despite the PR, many reintroductions are not rewilding
A rewilding justification needs to examine what functions & processes the reintroduction will enhance

This is true, and nature conservation is deeply political. I think the way forward is to not see such projects in isolation but as part of a wider transformation of economies and societies
