And the air raids continued across Britain for 5 more years....

84 years ago the Calgary Tanks (with Squadrons in Calgary, Olds, and Gleichen), and several other Canadian Regiments, landed on the beaches of Dieppe, France. 2/3 of the Regiment was either captured or killed within hours. I've stood on that beach, and I will #RememberThem

Born in present-day Ukraine, he bayonetted three Germans in a cellar, attacked another seven in a crater, killing them all, then killed the crew of a machine gun encampment. The next day he took another machine gun encampment. He died in 1959.
