#repro
I got into repro because of Texas's sonogram law in 2011. I've been working in repro ever since, and it has felt like a battle for the soul of Texas. Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt. The Wendy Davis filibuster. That was 10 years ago. And people in Texas just kept fighting.

Look what y'all did.

States that could see Democratic trifectas tonight, with huge implications for repro/gender rights (and a lot of other stuff):
--Nevada
--Pennsylvania
--Michigan
--Minnesota
--Arizona
--Wisconsin

For repro rights groups, winning state Democratic trifectas is just as important as winning abortion ballot measures www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Virginia passed a shield law this past spring and now we’ve enshrined repro rights in our constitution. Very proud of my state! 👍
Virginia voters have passed a ballot initiative to enshrine the right to reproductive freedom in their constitution.

Pass repro rights and REPEAL HYDE.

Looks like all 3 constitutional amendments have passed in Virginia—protection of repro rights, removing the same-sex marriage ban, and restoration of voting rights for felons. 🎉

Also my Democratic congressman has 71.5% of the vote.

“It’s not enough to win ballot measures. If you don’t have the [governor] and you don’t have the legislature, you’re stuck.”

For repro groups in the midterms, winning state Democratic trifectas is just as important as winning the US Senate.

She’s the reason that very restrictive repro rights legislation got passed here, sort of out of the blue, all of one month after I committed to a PhD program/living here for five years 🙂‍↕️ and she’s out!! 🥳
On the same day Roy Cooper wins a Senate seat, Tricia Cotham - the Dem turncoat who gave the GOP a veto proof majority for two years - gets crushed by a guy named “McCool”

The pink:purple ones are insane. Photos done to them justice… :)

I think it’s wonderful to celebrate wins and I really don’t want to rain on any parades, but I hope everyone will remember the organizers of Idaho’s Prop 1, who worked incredibly hard and were almost completely ignored by Big Repro. People in states that aren’t “strategic” deserve rights, too
Hearing from folks in Idaho that there's been an avalanche of anti-abortion messaging in this campaign over the last few weeks, spurred by big spend from churches (chiefly the Mormon and Catholic churches). Will be watching results closely today.
An Idaho physician argued that the U.S. Constitution protects access to medically indicated abortions as part of the fundamental right to life and health but an appeals court panel ruled 2-1 against him.

Voters have a chance to overturn the ban today:

Best thing ever!! No more endo daggers stabbing my repro parts.

Maine deserves a senator who fights for repro freedom. @troyjackson207.bsky.social has helped expand abortion access. Susan Collins helped confirm the justices who overturned Roe.

Now it’s time to turn that record into action. Text REPRO to 59791 to help call and text voters. https://bit.ly/4iUHwj6

I don’t this it can be understated how important a blue texas is for repro rights.
Under Abbott and Paxton, Texas has been suing abortion providers in blue states who mail pills to patients in Texas, testing the limits of blue-state shield laws. I expect the new governor and attorney general to drop those cases immediately.

Hey did you read the part in here about how we're the only repro outlet without financial ties to the organizations we cover? Once you notice that the other publications claiming to be dedicated to this beat don't do accountability reporting or cover workers' issues, you won't be able to unsee it.

man, I'm still thinking about this

(late 40s with a sundowning repro system means I'm never, like, *far* from tears

but this really got me)
I've been watching this movie for 30 years — my first semester first year roommate took me to see it in Harvard Square

I've now seen it dozens of times

but I never really thought til now about how this happens all over the world

which means any place this movie is showing, I can find a home
what a beautiful thing, to know in your lifetime that you made a lasting safe home for thousands, probably millions, of people the world tries to squash at every turn

thank you, Richard O'Brien

cw: repro / pregnancy (adjacent) / body horror (?)

drawing my oc that i made experience a horrifying abdominal/reproductive hell/etc calling me a pussy for being scared about my upcoming surgery was a strangely reassuring anxiety buster

With Trump threatening to go after abortion after the midterms, the stakes couldn't be higher.

@peggyflanagan.bsky.social has helped make MN a national leader in protecting repro freedom. Her opponent supports a 12-week abortion ban.

Check this out then make a plan to vote! 🗳️

Today is the day!

From local to statewide elections, reproductive equity is on the ballot today — and there’s never been a more important time to show up.

Be sure to get out and vote.

We'll see you at the polls, repro champs! 💜

Important context! A "no" vote is a vote to *preserve* repro rights protections, which is the opposite of the 2024 initiative. This is likely to have been made deliberately confusing since the 2024 initiative passed by a roughly 3% margin. VOTE NO ON 3.
In Missouri, this measure is known as Amendment 3 (2026) on the November 3, 2026 Ballot. Vote NO on 3!

Adding: trying to shove religion down our throats, trying to take repro rights and educational opportunities from women, decimating public health. Eff that crap.

I got this game from my endo when I was little. It wasnt very good, but i have a lot of memories playing it.. I eventually sold it for pennies. Always kinda regretted that. So I made it my goal to find it at TMG this year.
