My most recent foster dog, picked up after months on the lam. I had to carry her everywhere the first couple of weeks, and she was rigid with fear. Just went to her new home where she is adored. #dogsofbluesky #rescueisbest

A very hairy, and matted, red tri Aussie looks at the camera and appears happy. What you can't tell is that she was in such a shut down state she rarely left this spot unless carried.

Cute red tri Aussie who has lost nearly all her sun bleached hair and is growing a gorgeous red coat. Playing with a toy and looking at the camera quizzically.

Very good pop-up shop stunt from @Battersea_ last week in a furniture shop in London's Tottenham Court Road. Demonstrating #RescueIsBest and that rehoming one of their dogs would make any house a home:

#ReadyToBeLoved | Battersea Dogs Visit Tottenham Court Road

Battersea dogs took to the shopfronts of Tottenham Court Road's flagship furniture stores to showcase how rehoming one of our dogs would make any house a home. Find out more about rehoming here: https://www.battersea.org.uk/

Our rescue dog from @Battersea - Bertie (was Harold) ‘graduated’ from @Dogs Trust Sussex’s Dog School this evening. I promised I would promote their classes - there to help avoid dogs needing to be rehomed due to unwanted behaviours. Bertie is now a true gentleman! 👏 #adoptdontshop #rescueisbest

Just Me

My pure-bred Australian Shepherd came from a rescue group. She and several others were dumped in a kill-shelter by an irresponsible breeder. #AdoptDontShop #RescueIsBest

These are VICTIMS of a puppy mill… breeder dogs for DOODLES. PLEASE do NOT “buy” dogs. There are plenty of DOODLES & other “pure” bred dogs in shelters. Although, I rather prefer rescuing the dogs that get overlooked. They make the very best snugglemuts!

I feel like we could all do with more good news right now, so here's my brave foster horse Heidi on her very first outing to the estury this week.
She had her support dog Tahi along for company (we foster failed him early 2024).
