Deskilling and reskilling are both going to happen at large scale, because the economically optimal distribution of skillsets just dramatically shifted.
AI rewards some skills very well and automates others completely.

There's only really two outcomes here. Either we adapt as AI develops and it doesn't significantly increase unemployment or we don't and we're into revolution / UBI territory.
Reskilling might be useful in scenario one but not in scenario two.
