I'm not going to suggest Resonite is a drop-in replacement for VRChat today, but if you're the kind of person that does vote with their wallet, moving those VRC+ subscription dollars over to efforts like Resonite can help fund more spaces in VR 🦊

We fixed the issues some people were having with installing the Resonite Unity SDK UPM through package manger.
If you ran into those, just update the package in Unity Editor.

For those curious, yes, there is a unity SDK for resonite now so you don't have to set up a avatar in resonite itself. I still recommend at some point learning how to do stuff in the game itself, this SDK will make it a lot easier. youtu.be/NuCjTnjosM0?... tutorial a bud made.

I put my vrchat avatar into resonite using the resonite external SDK and it was pretty much painless lol
alright current findings with resonite
1. yes, there are non furries who play resonite, not in terms of "uses the 'human' avatar" but as in people who use anime avatars. there are not many but I hope the amount increases a bit
2. you can make avatars outside of the game now

now that resonite is in the spotlight, i keep seeing “it’s not very polished” and like
yeah i agree cause we don’t have vc funding to scale that fast lol
