Queensland Weekly Respiratory Surveillance Report: 5 August to 11 August 2025

Reported cases:

🔹COVID: 1,165 (+4.0%)
🔹Influenza: 4,891 (+24.2%)
🔹RSV: 953 (+5.7%)

Hospitalisations:

🔸COVID: 96 (-10.2%)
🔸Influenza: 262 (+11.4%)
🔸RSV: 56 (-1.7%)

Data extracted on 11 August 2025 COVID-19 96 people were in hospital with COVID-19, 14 (15%) were aged 65–74 years and 55 (57%) were 75 years or more. 1,165 people diagnosed in the last week, 114 (10%) were aged 65–74 years and 199 (17%) were 75 years or more. Influenza 262 people were in hospital with Influenza, 149 (57%) were aged 65 years and above. 4,891 people diagnosed in the last week, 780 (16%) were aged 65 years or more. Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) 56 people were in hospital with RSV, four (7%) were under 6 months of age and seven (13%) were aged between 6 months to less than 2 years. 953 people diagnosed in the last week, 28 (3%) were aged under 6 months and 198 (21%) were between 6 months to under 2 years.
