#retraction
Are they gonna publish a retraction or nah?
"For a lot of progressives, Stevens hasn’t done enough. No matter how many times she says she’s supporting El-Sayed, progressives are sure that, in her heart of hearts, she doesn’t really mean it. She doesn’t truly love El-Sayed. To which I say: Grow up."

I count this as a formal retraction of the bullshit AEW article and accept them saying they were wrong.
Salon.com's team had an amazing election night. It is truly so fun, such an honor, to work with such smart, passionate, deeply funny people.

This morning, we were informed the publication was closed, effective immediately.

Here's the official company message.

Goodbye from Salon - Salon.com
It has been an extraordinary privilege.

I suspect the smart ones felt testicular retraction and some considerable sphincter twitching.

So none of them, then

A post on Reddit is nothing. @thebulwark.com should be publishing a retraction/apology bare minimum, and honestly this chud @jvl.bsky.social should never be published again

When you report a lie as though it’s true, you should delete the original post and publish a retraction.

Some people might happily take credit for an article in Nature they did not write. That’s not the case when the credited author is a cofounder of Retraction Watch and the attribution comes in a citation to an article that doesn’t exist.
A year later, Springer Nature journal hasn’t updated article with fake reference to our cofounder

They managed to write an article where, AFAICT, no single statement is a falsehood requiring a factual retraction, but the article as a whole conveys a number of obviously and seriously false claims.

This isn't something you can do accidentally. It represents intentional, careful effort to mislead.

16 of 21/ A crucial component of a sincere smile (rarely discussed) is a retraction (pulling backward) of the jaw (mandible). Viewed best from a lateral angle, this appears as a momentary over-bite. It can be seen best here on Rogers, as the camera angle is more lateral than shown with Stevens.

This is pretty wild: Scientific Reports is no longer being indexed by PubMed.

“Scientific Reports is currently being reviewed by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM),” the journal’s chief editor Rafal Marszalek wrote in an email seen by Retraction Watch. retractionwatch.com/2026/10/30/s...
