I found my old Sony Reader #PRS-300. Still powers up after all these years and I guess I was really into #IainMBanks back then. I have them all in dead tree form too but can’t remember how I came upon the ebooks. I even have most on my Kindle.

"The Bourne Identity"
By Robert Ludlum

Still a cracking good read, with a complex plot, page-turning suspense, and engrossing action.

This month's #RetroReading is a #CVG magazine from Marc 1988.

It's an uneventful month, at a time when C+VG was focused on the 8/16 home micros (and a far cry from the bombastic style of its 90s incarnation).

But this double-paged #MasterSystem ad really ticked the nostalgia bone!

I was a #YourSinclair guy myself. #SinclairUser just seemed to be trying too hard to be pre-90s edgy. But reading old computer mags for #RetroReading, it seems that they were ALL trying too hard to do that.

So this month I'm giving Sinclair User another chance, with the Oct 87 issue.

This month's #retroreading is #Crash from July 1987. A fairly pedestrian issue, typical mid-summer fare with few big releases. They seemed to be in a flap about the emergence of quality budget games, with some of the letters page reflecting the kind of prejudice you see in modern "triple A" talk.
