Hurrah! We don't need the ubiquitous methane-emitting sheep under tilted panels. We can have productive crops instead (or rewiliding...) - clearly better for the climate!
Vertical rows are the agrivoltaic winner!

“The vertical panels produce slightly less electricity—but with higher value, as generation peaks coincide with morning and late afternoon demand…The crops don't seem to mind the presence of solar panels and they like the wind protection they provide.”
Double harvest: Vertical solar panels and crops thrive side by side
Imagine a field where solar panels and crops coexist—with no trade-off. It sounds like science fiction, but that's precisely what researchers from Aarhus University have now documented in a full-scale...

Perks of rewiliding your lawn? More birds! And voles! And mushrooms! Less sound pollution from annoying ass lawn mowers. And less carbon pollution too. You make a quieter, cleaner world!

If you want to walk in it, just trim the path you actually want to walk. It's bonkers easy to do!

Network of rewiliding projects across the country and summer camps for kids to go and hang out in the woods, also I will buy *so many* swords
anyway, give me one of these fortunes and i’ll fund social housing development and a network of local and regional newspapers, and while qualified people run those projects, i’ll scour the world trying to build the largest and most comprehensive camera collection in existence

yes, Land Value Tax, with certain parameters for, i.e., rewiliding or flood plain programs or things like that.

I mean, the other possibility is that as the climate gets hotter, solar panels can offer necessary shade that helps maintain biodiversity and support all of those things, and that this is being extensively studied by people who are doing rewiliding and small ag.

UCLA now manages more than 90 percent of its grounds without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The university has also worked to remove turf and dramatically increase plantings of drought-tolerant native species, one of a number of US campuses committed to rewiliding their school grounds.
Restoring Biodiversity at Centers of Learning
Universities across the US are growing native gardens and ditching pesticides.

I'm looking to speak to people who are keen to rewiliding be a movement for environmental justice as well as ecological recovery. Lot of discussion sparked by the great Guardian Longread today. Give me a shout if that's you! www.technologyreview.com/2023/06/22/1...
What “rewilding” means—and what’s missing from this new movement
Three books that grapple with the role of humans in restoring natural ecosystems.

well thats it right? lol. running a scam under a false name, and trying to set emotional hooks.....lol. that being said, my real emotional hook is rewiliding in scotland and the UK. next life. i am there. hitting the ground running. I don't think they want and old yankee sticking nose in

Humans are nature.
We are no higher or lower than any other species by any measure.
The continued false belief in the duality of humans and nature will bring about the anthropocene mass extinction.
Art and science can stop this. If their voices are ever heard.

The flock has 17 turkeys right now, out for a browse together. Today they mostly traveled in a line, so I couldn't get all in one video still but I could get an accurate count. Rewiliding this yard continues to have lots of benefits for wildlife diversity.

Fires being driven by climate change - NOT by rewiliding!

England and Wales had driest July on record
The Met Office said it was the most parched July since at least 1836, with some areas getting no rain at all — resulting in droughts, crop damage and wildfires

The organization, Rewiliding Britain @rewildingB , is working (along with others) to reintroduce the Eurasian Beaver to the UK. In 2009, a successful trial release in Scotland set the path for bringing this beaver species back to Britain. https://buff.ly/3MqeQxB

Over pastoral fields it provides shade for sheep and other animals. On rewiliding peatland it helps protect the new growth, gives birds protection.

Absolutely worth doing both.
