I’ve loved my OLED TV but I probably won’t be buying another one. Great for movies and shows. Pretty lousy for anything else that has static UIs and menus like video games. So much burn in over the past 5 years has rendered mine damned near unusable. I’m hoping the new RGBLED TVs are more durable.

i honestly think i can approximate this with a 200x200mm RGBLED matrix on a transparent flex PCB (maybe 32x32 LEDs? not sure how hard it'd be to power that, it's a lot of LEDs!). engrave the hexagon pattern into the the acrylic, then vacform it into shape. attach the LEDs inside, edge lighting too.
