#laseractive #rgbmod adventure so far. Disassembled it while watching Tokyo Vice ep2. Mounted the shell and broke it. But gravity is helping out, it still works. Oh, also filled an SSD with all #ps2 shmups to use with @jeffchen.bsky.social's EasyPS2HDD mod.

Just got this smoke gray clear shell from @stoneagegamer.com, finishing up my fully modded NES! It currently has the RGB multiout mod, the Nintendrawer replacement, and the NES Hub, giving it bluetooth and expansion audio capability. #nintendrawer #rgbmod #neshub

also the blinking cylinder is from a rgbMod shader command i've implemented which can animate vertex colors on a surface with some patterns and target colors involved. I felt it was a necessary addition and something idtech3 could've had earlier

The N64 has no native RGB, but early NTSC boards keep the RGB lines, making them the easiest variant to mod. I assembled an open-source RGB amp by hand and dropped it in. Crispy Super Mario 64 on a CRT.

why in the whole fuck would you ever RGBmod something to SCART and not literally any other connector possible for composite video. even BNC connectors would be a better choice for that as u can at least pretend to plug it into a PVM instead of Trinitron you modded to be more like it

Some n64 jpn rgbmod are a pain, and also tge nesrgb (they say). I found the nesrgb very easy, the n64 a pain and i havent made any but most of hdmi mods ive seen are painful to perform. also i found installing a matrix glitch chip and jailbreaking an xbox360 to be rather annoying

The artwork in those games used tricks, including dither. The pixel art looked better using composite out.
When you RGB mod, none of those tricks work and you aren't viewing the game as the designers intended.

i don’t use ae anymore but it’s fun now — with a little help from skia-python — to be able to do that all in coldtype (a new `rgbmod` function makes it easy to modify just the r g or b channels on-the-fly)
