Two things I adore: Tolkien's works and nature (specifically trees; trees are friends 🌿).
Mallorns, to me, have always been a symbol of nature's beauty & endurance.

It's my name. My name is insanely common. Do you know how lucky I felt to get it here? I never get just my name. Sure, I had to include a middle initial, but I didn't have to add any numbers or a descriptive prefix/suffix like I've had to for every other social or email I've had.

Something I love about film festivals is, whereas most commercial movies are made for audiences & fine-tuned by algos, here you still find self-indulgent flicks. Some are terrible, and some are just amazing. RIIFF is one of my favorite things about summer!

Something I love about film festivals is, whereas most commercial movies are made for audiences & fine-tuned by algos, here you still find self-indulgent flicks. Some are terrible, and some are just amazing. RIIFF is one of my favorite things about summer!

So I missed an email. Flickers’ RIIFF selected Age of Aquarius as a Semi Finalist. Again congrats to fellow semi finalist. Final selections will be in the fall. This is pretty cool. 2 scripts selected. I may have to check out the fest next month. #scriptsky

The director’s excuse is bullshit. RIIFF has had problems like that for years. I get 900 folks to come out for homemade shorts.

I don’t run Newport, but they seem to be ok. Providence Children’s Film Festival is well run too. There’s a few other small ones like SENE that are fine.

Providence folks: tried buying a ticket for a film festival show tomorrow. Saw tons of seats. Went to discuss plans w/ family. Came back, tried again, and now ticket page says "The sale has ended". There's no contact info for RIIFF! Any idea if you can do a walk-in purchase? Cash? Card? Help!
