Going through the LFC videos on my phone and when I came across this it just hit me again like a ton of bricks. It’s been over 24 hours since his passing and it still hasn’t sunk in. Diogo was one of us. He got us. He got the club. He was a Red and we loved him. 💔 #RIPDiogo #YNWA

This is absolutely spot on! As someone who experienced the loss of a teammate many years ago in equally tragic circumstances I can tell you this ....you may think you're alright, you may look ok but probably the last place you want to be is on a football pitch. #RIPDiogo #Forever20 😢❤️🙏🕊 #YNWA
There’s going to be a lot of clinical analysis of that game and other games/performances going forward but looking at Mo at the end there we need to acknowledge that these lads are mourning their mate. It’s only been a month or so. Frankly it’s amazing they are out there and performing at all #LFC

Absolutely devastated. Our lad, Diogo Jota, along with his younger brother Andre, was brutally taken away from us in a traffic incident. Diogo got married to his love Rute less than two weeks ago and leaves behind his parents, wife and three small children 💔 Life is precious. #RIPDiogo #LFC #YNWA
