TBH I've realized that because it was a film that was heavily filtered through a French director's vision that explains the tone and characterizations.. Alien Resurrection also had some queer subtext.. Like the relationship between Ripley8 and Call.. my ex acted like I was crazy picking up on it..

At that point it was only 29 years ago, but yes. It wouldn't have worked for most people and I don't actually need it, even if I would have enjoyed it. And I would definitely prefer a Ripley8/Call sequel.

I am all in for someone making an ALIEN 5 that follows Ripley8 from Resurrection but a retcon so they can have 70 year old Hicks back and a 25 year old starlet play Newt (don't know how that math worked out) is just so lame.
1986 happened 40 years ago.

going to say something bold. i think ripley8 could be nonbinary. i think there’s a lot of intrigue w a clone being a different gender than the original and having to live in the shadow of someone theyll never be

i would love to be an iteration of ripley bc shes my specialest girl atm but her outfits kinda suck and are unrecognizable xcept the flight suit which would be hard to get a decent one or the all leather fit ripley8 wears which would require a lot of effort

Something I liked about Alien Resurrection was Ripley8 and Call and I actually kinda wish we could get a follow-up to that movie with their further adventures.. 💜👽
Let Ripley8 take even more advantage of her alien powers like enhanced strength and sharp claws!

Had an explicit piece roll through my art feed yesterday of Ripley8 and Call from Alien: Resurrection and I'm pretty sure Ripley8 is, like, less than two years old in that movie.

Age gap because Ripley8 is three years old and it's been 89 years since Call first went online?

One of those arts that has been waiting for its final form and content for years. I really like how I managed to combine my own ornament construction with Giger's style.
