I will admit, I do sometimes feel a bit out of place in fandom spaces (both online and sometimes in person) because my primary interests/hobbies are fairly niche things like railfanning, traffic signal collecting, roadgeekery, and warning siren enthusiasm.

I'm happy to report that, as of yesterday afternoon, this pair of vintage (and extremely worn-out) US 78 shields in Memphis, TN, still stand!

I actually have dedicated Road Trip Blanket that lives in the car

most of the time if I'm not the one driving I am at least looking around and doing some roadgeekery, but if I get overstimulated, I will ask to sit in the back seat and put the blanket over my head

I honestly expected it to be IH-45.

US-287 should probably be an interstate for at least a portion on its length (DFW to Amarillo), but not before US-290 is. Seriously. How is there not an interstate between Houston and Austin?
