Interesting gathering of new troops at the Roman Legionary Museum in Caerleon today. Should we be worried?

Visited @RomanCaerleon on the weekend and the Museum is stuffed full of wonderful objects discovered in Caerleon - tiny glass perfume bottles, many stone inscriptions, pottery, silver coins, carved gems… but I particularly liked these non-glamorous leather off-cuts & knife…

Next speaker (after a brilliant talk by Mark Lewis, curator at @RomanCaerleon !!! - I will definitely get back to you on intaglios found in Roman drains!) Is Stephen Sherlock talking about earlier artefacts in Anglo Saxon graves #TAG2017 #TAGCardiff @TAGCardiff

Happy New Year from the curatorial team @LMuseums !!
I'm back in the office and starting to work on the finds from the 1977-80 #RibchesterBathhouse excavations! So many amazing finds, like these beads! @RomanCaerleon @VindolandaTrust @UCLanArchAnth @Bremetenacum @RibMuseum

So @Roman_Tools @RomanFindsGrp @RomanCaerleon I've been looking through the wonderful Brampton Hoard- a hoard of really well preserved iron tools and fittings dating from the LIA/Roman period. These two (length 31cm) are down as couch/furniture legs... Is that what they are??

The Time Team visit to Isca (Caerleon, Newport) is now up on YouTube.
