My new Romitelli boots arrived today. Need to do the first test walk in them to start breaking them in. Always a challenge with good riding boots, but at least these break in pretty quickly.

Earlier I posted that I had worn a hole in the calf of my day riding boots. They are getting a patch, but I decided to give myself a present and I ordered a new pair of Romitelli day boots. Behold them in all their blue wonder.

A ★★½ review of His Name Was King (1971)
This is a c-list Spaghetti, Euro-Western landfill, if you like. Romitelli was a prolific Assistant director and he directs like one: so much of this feels like coverage, with mostly dull framing and lighting. He only really comes to life during the action scenes, but even then it's all cuts of static shots with little dynamism, for all the spaghetti tropes that pop up: gatling gun massacre, gunmen on rooftops, three-on-one shootout. The story is generic in the extreme: the titular protagonist seeks revenge after the murder of his brother and rape of his new sister-in-law. The bad guys have
