Either way, I'll work on my Ronderu cosplay :3
Okay guess I'm not going to SW Celebration, too much money being spent for a short time + other things :/

Grievous/Qymaen as a cat would be a Tilcayo and Ronderu would be a Canadian lynx!

May the 4th be with you! I usually post art over on tumblr (when I, y'know, actually make art and/or post at all), but here are some recent sketches of badass Kaleesh warrior Ronderu lij Kummar (of EU/Legends)~

What are you talking about? Nimph didn't leave the order to help the Kaleesh. She left because Qymaen and Ronderu were hot

@matthewood.bsky.social teased new #GeneralGrievous content soon-ish, so in the meantime, I drew Grievous' soulmate from Legends, #RonderulijKummar in the TCW art style! TCW style is hard to emulate in 2D, but I tried my best! Hope Ronderu gets recanonized in the near future...

"It is. Ronderu was a strong fighter and she deserves to be honoured and remembered. I still grieve for her."
He leaned a little closer and looked at her tattoos.
"They are very interesting. Do they have meaning behind them?"

Elsie looked up and curiously examined his mask.
It looked like something she would see on old akivan holovids or posters, but she did not know about the symbolism behind it.
"I like it. A beautiful piece of memory.
- I keep something like that too."
She then added, pointing at her face tattoos.

Accepting the seeds, Grievous examined them curiously before looking at her again. To her question he reached up and tapped his mask.
"It has been altered since my crash but this mask belonged to someone very dear to me."

Headcanon: Besides the one seen in Lair of Grievous, General Grievous owns another statue—of the late Ronderu lij Kummar. Interestingly, it wears Kummar’s karabbac-carved mask, the only thing Grievous recovered after failing to retrieve her body from the sea.

Besides Ronderu lij Kummar and Bentilais san Sk'ar, I want Xivhkalraink/Xalek and Saes Rrogon to be recanonized with designs that more closely resemble the statues of General Grievous's original form seen in Lair of Grievous, incorporating all of the defining physical features of the Kaleesh.

I was looking up refs for Ronderu’s mask (Grievous’ partner from legends) for because reasons. I came across text from this interview w Abel G Peña, who gave us a lot of his backstory. He seems to think this may have been meant to represent Ronderu’s mask??? (Top in image)…
![- One cool this is, they had a Kaleesh-style mask in the variety store in Star Wars Land... And I was looking at it so carefully, because I was like: „That doesn't look like General Grievous explicitly", you know? His pre-General Grievous mask. And I was like: „I think... I think that's a karabback mask, I think that's how you pronounce it.
So, in the old Legends stuff, Grievous had what they called a mumuu mask and that was from one particular kind of creature from his homeplanet Kaleesh [sic]. And that's what he's made his mask out of.
It's kinda more narrow. I did a story called „Unknown Soldier: The Story of General Grievous" and I (...) basically wrote Grievous' background. For Legends. So, I came up with this character, who was kinda his soulmate, basically. It was ambiguous what their relationship was, were they either half-brother and half-sister, or they were actually like lovers, or they were just hardcore war buddies, but, her name was... So I came up with wild Kaleesh names](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:kduwtos2prx3dwe6hxlqfth5/bafkreigmc2g5vawf4bmuzcn2scxp7gzvbrhhiug6su6ka3ar6bboso2kla)
