Whispers of the past; #Chester 1908.

Here's a map as beautiful as the city it depicts. Read our text sample & you’ll see that this is a city whose history isn’t buried; it’s laid upon its street-plan, it marches on each side of the street & shouts down the centuries from rooftiles to gutters!

🪶I've not had my Java💀. Foothills has "flooding". I must be awake becuz rivers of water running by this 50-yr-old Ranch clapboard house, which has already lost some of the rooftiles to wind.Thankfully, it's still the weekend🎃. Someone else is cooking dinner✌️

#God gives the #sun and the #wind

Therefore, is the energy cheap

That is good for the #poor

Your engineers have to develop roof tiles for electricity and home #batteries

We must switch to clean energy
#Solar #Film?

You can also manufacture electric cars cheaply

It would be interesting if the government suggested easy recipes for cooking cats and dogs.
Where I'm originally from, Veneto, cats are also referred as "rooftiles rabbits" and rabbits are animals farmed to be eaten.
The memory of famine persist in the language.

Still, the 1705 fight “attracted an inordinate number of fighters ... soon degenerated into the usual arguments and riot ... punches ... rain of rooftiles ... dagger and knives”—and a fire broke out, but the people who usually put it out were... well, too busy kicking shit out of each other

Went to the new(ish - it's only been open just over a year, new record for me) Roman museum in town today, very nice - love the latest edition of footprints in rooftiles 😁

Dondald, you don't have to stop here, there are many anti-American names in that map you can replace with 100% American names:

Los Alamos > The Poplars
Santa Fe > Saint Faith
Socorro > Pleasehelpme
Las cruces > That you cross them
Alamogordo > Chubbypoplar
Texas > Rooftiles
Colorado > Reddish

Good afternoon - I hope your day is proceeding pleasantly - my afternoon choice is Gustav Klimt's 'Kirche in Cassone'. He wasn't just all about the boobs and gold you know. Although I must admit they did attract a large proportion of his attention.

Then I opened my photos app to show the students the marble rooftiles, and how their thickness changes depending on position on the roof (so cool!), and the default image was my current Minecraft build. Embarrassing.

If I was nosying at my neighbours home for sale and saw this they'd be getting a bag of flaming shite on their doorstep at the very least. Maybe nick some rooftiles above that room or something. This is horrific.
a pal was browsing house listings and look at this one place they stumbled across. oh my

Nostalgia time! While digging through some old files I found this ancient thing. This is the first 3d model that I ever textured. The textures were handpainted in Photoshop. Those were the days 😅

Kinda tempted to remake this...

I believe these rooftiles are clay. I feel in Europe at least where I have been these are the most commen for roofs. I believe there also called storm tiles. I'm always in ah of how things are so different in every country.

Looks like some kind of efflorescence on the surface of the tiles. Never seen it before - its usually salts leaching out of bad mortar in brickwork - white stains. Looks like concrete rooftiles, so possibly a defective mix with contaminated sand or cement

I have a timber-frame built in 2005. It has no outside wall insulation to speak off, no partition wall insulation, no floor and ceiling insulation, and in the loft I can touch the rooftiles from the inside.

Compared to other countries this standard is beyond pathetic.
