Nerding out about 🐴rossfechtan with Megha, queen of the SCA East Kingdom, who is quite the swordswoman herself.

These barrel horses are a nice little tool. One day they'll grow heads!

A short but fun ride and rossfechtan practice today.

Got to ride Medallion today.

Also took a selfie with the new boy, Sereno.

Fun shot from rossfechtan practice a couple of weeks back.

This was shortly before I put the sword down and just worked on riding Cody (which I need the most practice). We did make some progress there.

But I do love his little "fencing goggles."

Back to 🐴⚔️rossfechtan night.

Spent most of it just working on my riding with Cody. Was able to get him to trot several times, and even a few without the crop.

Progress!

Still riding that Rossfechtan train... errr... horse. Anyways, this past week we busted out the spears for the first time. If you think spears are fun, in general, try it on a horse! 😆

This is from November. The plan was to do a rossfechtan practice but the snow and wind kicked up something fierce. For how bad it looks in this video, it was 100x worse in person.

Eventually the horses gave up and told us they were done. Smart horses. They unionized.
